Welcome to Big Time Detailing. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully before booking or using our services. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our website or services.

  • Exterior Detailing

  • Interior Detailing

  • Paint Correction

  • Ceramic Coating

  • Additional services as detailed on the website.

We reserve the right to modify or update our services at any time.

2. Booking and Payment

  • Booking: By booking a service, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, including vehicle details, contact information, and location.

  • Payment: Payment is due in full on the day of service unless otherwise agreed. We accept Visa, Master, Amex, Cash, Zelle, Apple-pay. Payments left unpaid will incur a 10% late fee per day.

  • Cancellations: A 24-hour notice is required for cancellations to avoid a $50 cancellation fee. If you cancel on the same day, we reserve the right to charge up to 50% of the scheduled service price.

  • Non-Refundable Retainer: We charge a $100 non-refundable retainer if the customer has canceled or rescheduled multiple times.

3. Rescheduling and Delays

  • If conditions are unsafe (e.g., hazardous weather, unsafe location), we reserve the right to reschedule the service without penalty.

  • If we arrive and the necessary space or safe conditions are not met, we reserve the right to reschedule the service for another time with a $25 rescheduling fee.

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Clear Access: Please ensure that there is ample space for our technicians to perform the service and that your vehicle is accessible.

  • Personal Belongings: Please remove all personal items, money, and significant belongings from your vehicle before the service. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged personal items left in the vehicle.

  • Car Seats: Customers are asked to remove car seats or booster seats before our arrival. If a car seat is left in the vehicle, we will clean around it to the best of our ability, but complete satisfaction is not guaranteed.

5. Vehicle Condition and Additional Fees

  • Excessive Pet Hair, Sand, and Hazardous Materials: A minimum of 10% surcharge will be applied to all jobs that involve excessive pet hair, urine, vomit, blood, feces, or other hazardous materials.

  • Pet Hair and Sand: Pet hair and sand are particularly difficult to remove and are not guaranteed to be fully eliminated with normal vacuuming. While we will make every effort to remove visible traces of pet hair and sand, customers should be aware that complete removal may not always be possible depending on the severity of the contamination.

  • Stains and Odors: We make no guarantees regarding the removal of stains or odors from your vehicle. Some upholstery and carpets may not clean up to the expected standard due to the type or age of the stain, or the fabric’s condition. Certain stains may be permanent and, in some cases, may not be fully removed despite our best efforts.
We may consult with you prior to the service to discuss what can and cannot be done regarding stains or odors in your vehicle, and we will always aim to achieve the best possible results within the limits of the materials and cleaning methods.

6. Exclusions and Limitations

  • Mechanical or Electrical Damage: We are not responsible for damage resulting from cleaning engine bays, sunroofs, or moonroofs. Please ensure these components are in good working order before service.

  • Exterior Cleaning Limitations: We are not responsible for baked-on brake dust, deep stains on wheels, or chemical etching from bird droppings or sap.

  • Headliner Cleaning: The headliner is gently cleaned; however, some stains may remain due to the glue used in the headliner. Cleaning more aggressively or with stronger cleaners may cause the glue to release, leading to sagging over time. We are not responsible for headliner damage caused by cleaning.

7. Right to Refuse Service

  • We reserve the right to refuse service at any time for the following reasons:

    • Unsafe working conditions or location (e.g., hazardous materials, blocked access).

    • Abusive or unreasonable customer behavior.

    • Mechanical or electrical issues with the vehicle that could cause damage during the detailing process.

    • Failure to meet customer responsibilities, such as not removing personal belongings from the vehicle or not clearing the space for service.

8. Liability and Damages

  • We are not responsible for damage caused by the vehicle’s pre-existing condition (e.g., damaged paint, deteriorated upholstery). We will not be liable for any loss or damage to your vehicle's components if they were already in poor condition before service.

  • We do not accept liability for any damage to interior components such as dash buttons, steering column buttons, or other parts that may be heavily caked with dirt, grime, or makeup.

9. Ceramic Coating

  • We recommend our maintenance program for ceramic coatings, performed every 3-4 months. If you choose not to maintain the coating, we are not responsible for premature failure.

  • A non-refundable deposit is required for ceramic coating services. The deposit will not be refunded should you cancel or fail to complete the service.

10. Safety and Conduct

  • Personal Safety: We ask that you maintain a safe distance (10-15 feet) from our work area to avoid accidents. If you need to speak with us, please get our attention from a distance.

  • Respect and Behavior: We will not tolerate verbal or physical abuse. Any customer exhibiting abusive behavior will be asked to cease or we will discontinue the service.

  • Right to Discontinue Service: We reserve the right to discontinue any service if the customer is deemed unreasonable or if unsafe conditions arise.

11. Weather and Equipment

  • We reserve the right to adjust or move bookings due to weather conditions or equipment failure. If this occurs, no penalties will be applied to our company.

12. Maintenance Program

  • For ceramic coatings, regular maintenance is important to ensure durability. If the vehicle’s maintenance detail has not been performed in over six months, we will reset the maintenance program, starting with a new service.

13. Intellectual Property

  • All content on our website and materials related to our services, including logos and images, are the intellectual property of [Your Car Detailing Business Name]. Unauthorized use of these assets is prohibited.

  • We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting on our website. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for any updates.

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the appropriate courts located in San Diego County, California.
